Terms of Service

Scope and acceptance

Calumea provides a software platform for the management and remote control of smart home IoT devices. Access to the Service is conditional on acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy. The Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and anyone accessing the Service's content.

Registration and account

To access the full features of the Service you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activities carried out through your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach. Calumea is not liable for losses arising from unauthorised use of your credentials.

Permitted use

By using the Service you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Access or attempt to access other users' accounts or systems without authorisation
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Use the Service for commercial purposes not authorised by Calumea
• Deliberately overload the Service's infrastructure

IoT devices and security

You are responsible for the secure configuration of your IoT devices and home network. Calumea provides remote control tools but cannot guarantee the security of third-party hardware devices. We recommend keeping device firmware up to date and using Wi-Fi networks protected by strong passwords.

Intellectual property

The Service and all its original content, features, and interfaces are the property of Calumea and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Any reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works without explicit written authorisation is prohibited.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Calumea is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including damage to connected devices, data loss, or service interruptions caused by factors outside our control (network failures, power outages, cyberattacks on third-party infrastructure).

Suspension and termination

Calumea reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, in the event of a breach of these Terms or for operational or security reasons. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to the Service and Terms

Calumea reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. We also reserve the right to update these Terms. In the event of material changes we will notify you by e-mail or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
